Last month, Luxy Hair was honoured to be a part of the Boutique Ball, an event put on by the Corsage Project. A non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, the Corsage Project is dedicated to giving the authentic prom experience to young high school graduates who may not have the opportunity to attend prom due to the financial burden. The Corsage Project also runs annual scholarships to help high school graduates attend post-secondary school.
Now in its 18th year, the Boutique Ball provides these young women with everything they need to have a fabulous prom, including a dress, shoes, jewellery, accessories, and of course, the perfect Luxy Hair extensions to finish off their prom look. Over 600 volunteers participate to make the Corsage Project a success, and Luxy Hair was no exception. From colour matching each young girl to providing FREE Luxies to every single Corsage Project attendee, we were so happy to make all these beautiful young womens' prom dreams come true!

Prom Makeover 1: Crystal
Crystal was looking specifically for a long, flowy dress, and once she found the blush maxi dress of her dreams, it was time to give her the long, flowing hair to go with it. Crystal's main concern was that her hair just didn't seem to grow past her shoulders, even though all rest of the the girls in her family had long hair down to their waist. After finding Crystal's perfect match, (220g Mocha Brown), our team got to work, transforming Crystal's hair into long, beautiful cascading curls.
Prom Makeover 2: Jennifer
Jennifer said she was so thankful for the Corsage Project since she wouldn't have been able to afford to go to Prom otherwise. She found a glamorous, black beaded gown, which went beautifully with her natural, red toned hair. We set her up with her perfect Luxy match (a few wefts of Seamless Chestnut Brown and 220g Strawberry Blonde mixed), creating big, sexy curls to go with her sparkly dress.
